As one of Britain’s oldest family-run watch companies, Fears designs elegantly understated watches from their historical home city of Bristol, England, before hand-building them in Britain. Initially founded in 1846 by Edwin Fear, Fears operated for 130 years producing mechanical watches before closing its doors in 1976. In 2016, the great-great-great-grandson of Edwin Fear, Nicholas Bowman Scargill, re-launched his family’s company, producing modern-day luxurious watches that honour the brand’s vast heritage without compromise.
