Hassler Instruments

Hassler Instruments spring bar tools are designed for the watch enthusiast who wants their tools to exhibit the same craftsmanship and attention to detail as the watches in their collection.  Each tool is made to order on manually operated machine tools and finished by hand in our St Paul, Minnesota workshop.

Hassler Instruments is named after Ferdinand Hassler, a Swiss-American Surveyor and Mathematician. In 1816 Hassler was appointed as the first Superintendent of the Survey of the Coast, the first scientific agency in the United States. Hassler was also known for designing the instruments he used in his surveys, a practice that inspired the creation of the first Hassler instruments Bolt Action Spring Bar Tool.
