41mm Large Diver’s Automatic (GSAR)

The 41mm Large Diver’s Automatic (GSAR) is the most storied and venerable of our SAR Class of watches, highly sought after by both warfighters and collectors. Originally developed in the early 2000’s for use during Search and Rescue Operations by the Canadian Government, the GSAR has quickly become the most popular tool watch in the Marathon lineup. The watch is regularly issued to elite Search and Rescue Teams as well as Armed Forces around the globe.

Every aspect of the GSAR is purpose-built to withstand the most extreme conditions. From the solid 316L stainless steel case to the scratch-proof sapphire crystal, the watch is designed to provide ultimate durability and corrosion-resistance. The oversized 60-minute 120-click bi-directional dive bezel is specially engineered for easy manipulation with dive or service gloves, essential for professional operations. The highly durable case houses a 26 Jewel Sellita SW200 movement protected by an Incabloc™ Shock Absorber system, allowing the watch to maintain high precision during vibration or impact.

The clear legibility of the GSAR’s military type II dial is enhanced by tritium gas tubes on the hour markers and handset, providing 24hr illumination without the need for external source charging. The GSAR is rated for submersibility of 30ATM (300m/1000ft) and is designed with Marathon’s signature knurled screw-down crown for easy grip.
