Dalibor Farny

In 2011, Dalibor Farný restarted the manufacture of nixie tubes — glowing neon digit displays of the 1950s, long out of production — in a workshop in the Czech Republic. The technology is old, the tools and precision are today's. Tubes and clocks are made in-house, by hand, in limited numbers. Quiet objects, made to be kept and repaired, not replaced.
